The Gold Canyon Arts Council presents O Sole Trio on Friday, March 22, 7:30 p.m., at the Gold Canyon United Methodist Church, 6640 S. Kings Ranch Rd.
This uniquely talented Classical/Broadway/Pop crossover group, O Sole Trio, features the lush voices of soprano Erin Shields, baritone Giuseppe Spoletini and versatile David Shenton, who simultaneously plays piano and violin while singing!
Their show, “From Pavarotti to Pop,” has a wonderfully electic repertoire from Puccini’s O Mio Babbino Caro to Al Di La, I’ve Got The World On A String, The Prayer, film scores (Breakfast at Tiffany’s, Moonstruck, An Affair To Remember) and even a Doo Wop medley.
Their showmanship is deliciously witty with innovative arrangements that breathe new life into the world’s favorite tunes. They have sold out major venues such as Carnegie hall, Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and California’s Redland Bowl.
