Imagine Prep Superstition Charter School at 1843 W. 16th Ave., Apache Junction, has announced that Principal Frank Stirpe will be leaving at the end of this school year. Assistant Principal Julia Reed will serve as principal for the 2019-2020 school year.

“After eight years of outstanding service to our students, Mr. Stirpe has decided he is interested in pursuing other opportunities both within Imagine Schools and potentially outside of our school system,” stated Imagine Schools Regional Director Jason Archuleta in a letter to parents dated May 8. “He made important contributions to our school community for which we are grateful. We recognize that there are seasons in life and wish him the very best as he enters a new season of continued professional growth.”

Reed has served at Imagine Prep for seven years, as a teacher and assistant principal. She is a state certified administrator with a Masters degree in Educational Leadership from Arizona State University.

“Equally important,” added Archuleta, “is her understanding of the high standards of excellence we have established at Imagine Prep and the trusting relationships she has established with students and staff.”

Thursday, May 23 will be the last day of school at Imagine Prep for the 2018-19 school year. School will resume August 1, according to the school website.
